Roasted Turkey

1 turkey 12-15 lbs
2 bay leaves
2 carrots cleaned and chopped
2 celery stalks cut into ¼ inch pieces
1 can chicken or turkey broth
1 medium onion cut into thin slices
1 tbs butter
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder

Directions: Remove giblets from Turkey and rinse.  Pat dry and season. In a large roasting pan add broth and remaining ingredients.  Place Turkey breast side up over vegetables.  Cook for 20 minutes per pound.  Baste after every ½ hour.
